Making an Impact

Giving back to our community is an integral part of who we are. Our Community Impact Initiative forges powerful relationships with local organizations. The goal is to support marginalized communities and promote access to quality education and employment opportunities. We believe in doing what is right and generating a greater impact where we live and work.

Our Community Promise

Championing diversity, equity, and inclusion is part of our #WeAreOCC value. We contribute to making meaningful changes through the following efforts:

  • Building long-term relationships in the community that will    increase access to education and employment  opportunities for marginalized communities.
  •  Matching colleague donations to selected nonprofits 1:1 to  increase the impact OCC has in the community.
  • Encouraging colleagues to volunteer in the community. We provide eight hours of paid time off annually to volunteer and offer a Community Outreach Ambassador program for colleagues to develop community leadership skills.

Our Initiatives

Chicago Scholars

We have selected Chicago Scholars as our nonprofit partner for 2022-2025. It is Chicago's largest college access and success program, serving more than 5,000 scholars and alumni each year. Chicago Scholars are academically ambitious, first-generation college students from under-resourced communities in Chicago. This seven-year program helps them navigate complex transitions, from freshman year to starting their career.

United to Learn

In 2024, we established United to Learn (U2L) as our Dallas nonprofit partner. OCC partners with U2L to drive student achievement across the district and develop meaningful relationships with our neighborhood campus, Tom C. Gooch Elementary School. U2L’s unique wrap-around model brings resources into schools, offering social emotional learning, educational tools, training, tutors, campus improvement projects, student experiences, educator wellness touchpoints, and more. From 2017 to 2024, U2L Schools have doubled average literacy rates compared to pre-partnership levels.

OCC is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion. OCC provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, citizenship status, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, age, marital status, religion, veteran status, or any other characteristics protected by applicable federal, state, or local laws.

Numerous studies have shown that people from groups that are traditionally under-represented in financial services apply to jobs only if they believe they meet 100% of the requirements. We want to break down this mindset to further diversify our workforce.

We encourage you to review our open positions and apply if you think your experience may be a match, even if you do not meet all of the qualifications. Your perspective may be an element we need to continue building innovative solutions to support the markets and market participants we serve.

OCC is a globally recognized entity that clears a multitude of diverse and sophisticated products. We want to reflect this in the diversity of our workforce.

If you need a disability related accommodation for any part of the application process, please email talentacquisition@theocc.com
