Carla Dawson
Chief Human Resources Officer
Carla Dawson is Chief Human Resources Officer for OCC, the world's largest equity derivatives clearing organization.
In this role she is responsible for working with her business partners to develop and execute on an overall human resources strategy to support the company's business goals, including strengthening the partnership between human resources and OCC's business units, with a focus on talent development and employee engagement.
Dawson joined OCC in 2017 as First Vice President, Talent Management, where she was responsible for the development and implementation of comprehensive talent management and development strategies to support OCC's overall business strategy.
Prior to joining OCC, Dawson served as the Managing Director, Human Resources at Driehaus Capital Management LLC where she was responsible for developing and executing a human capital strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction for the firm. During her nearly 20 years at Driehaus, Dawson held a variety of roles of increased importance, including Senior Recruiter, and Director of Human Resources. She also has held roles with the executive search firms Heidrick & Struggles and Korn Ferry, and began her career in human resources at the financial services firm of Abaco Casa De Bolsa.
Dawson received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Industrial Relations from Universidad Anahuac in Mexico and a Master of Science degree in Organizational Development from the Quinlan School of Business at Loyola University Chicago. She also holds a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) from the HR Certification Institute.
